Q&A

1. What is Zellige?
Zellige is a key element of Moroccan history. It consists of terracotta tiles that are entirely hand-cut. They are then assembled to create decorative patterns that cover floors or walls. Zellige can be natural or glazed.

2. What is the thickness of Zellige?
The thickness of zellige generally ranges between 1.2 and 2.5 cm.

3. How can I get Zellige samples?
You can order the Zellibox Colors made available to you, or My Zellibox to choose 3 colors of your choice.

4. How can I purchase Zellige?
You can buy Zellige from our online store, or request a quote by clicking on the Contact tab in the footer.

5. Can you customize a design?
You submit your request, which we pass on to our design studio. They take into account the constraints of Zellige and propose a design, either from our catalog or created specifically for you.

6. What is the quality of ALMIRA Zellige?
After production, we select our zellige based on very strict quality standards. We do not produce second-choice tiles.

7. What are the delivery conditions?
You can find all our delivery conditions in the Legal Notice section.

8. Are there color variations within the same Zellige color?
We select our tiles to ensure the most uniform color possible. However, tonal variations may appear depending on exposure to light.

9. How do I install Zellige?
You can either use our professional installers (upon site assessment), or hire a careful tiler and follow our installation guidelines.

10. Where can Zellige be installed?
Zellige is suitable for all residential projects: in a pool, shower, basin, fountain, on floors, walls, fireplaces, kitchen backsplashes, outdoors, and in commercial or public spaces (on walls only).
